Marilena Onisiforou

Marilena Onisiforou graduated with a first class BA (Hons) Linguistics in 2017 from The University of Manchester. Her undergraduate dissertation explored the use of code-switching in inter-generational and intra-generational communication in Greek (Cypriot dialect) and English within a community in North London. Her dissertation was subsequently nominated for the annual UG dissertation Prize of the Linguistics Association of Great Britain.

Her research interests include bilingualism, sociolinguistics, child language acquisition and forensic linguistics.
