Sara Khan
Sara graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class BA (hons) in Linguistics and Arabic in July 2011. Her undergraduate dissertation analysed the language use and attitudes of British-born Pakistanis in Manchester, demonstrating what effect the migration process has had on the city's largest immigrant community.
Sara has lived and studied in different countries. She speaks Arabic, English, German and Urdu. Her research interests include language contact, bilingualism, second language acquisition, codeswitching, borrowing, language maintenance & language shift and language policy & planning.
